RiskPlus Core: The first features for structured risk management in accordance with the TrinkwV are now available
Some customers and Anyone interested have already had a first look at the features of RiskPlus Core. Now the time has come: the first features are available to everyone. With operator master data, asset master data and a digital flowchart, RiskPlus Core is launching its first key functions for structured risk management in accordance with the Drinking Water Ordinance (TrinkwV).
Together, these three functional areas provide a structured representation of the supply system and lay an important foundation for the next steps in the hazard and risk analysis.
Centralise all key information
A reliable data foundation is the starting point for any successful risk management programme. RiskPlus Core therefore enables the structured capture of operator and plant master data.
The operator master data contains the basic information about the water supplier. This ensures that it is clearly documented to which operator the risk documentation and the recorded information are assigned.
In addition, the relevant assets and objects relating to the water supply are recorded in the asset master data. In this way, a digital representation of the supply system is created step by step – from the point of abstraction to delivery to consumers.
The benefit for water suppliers is that the relevant basic information is available in a structured format in one central location and can be used for the subsequent stages of risk management.
Illustrating the supply system in a flowchart
Based on the recorded installations, the flow diagram provides a clear overview of the water supply system.
The flow chart illustrates the path taken by water through the various installations and facilities. This not only highlights individual installations, but also shows how they relate to one another. It is thus possible to trace the flow of water from the point of supply right through to its delivery to consumers.
This representation offers a key advantage, particularly for practical work: interrelationships can be understood at a glance. Rather than viewing information on individual installations in isolation, the supply system can be understood as a coherent process.
The flowchart thus provides an important basis for the next steps: hazards and risks can be assigned to the relevant plant components and process stages and considered within the context of the entire supply system.
Three interlinked functional areas
The functional areas ‘Operator Master Data’, ‘Asset Master Data’ and ‘Flowchart’ are directly interlinked:
Operator master data: Who operates the water supply?
Asset master data: Which assets and objects form part of the supply system?
Flow chart: How are these systems connected to one another, and how does the water reach the consumer?
This creates a structured and transparent basis for further risk management.
For water suppliers, this means, above all, less scattered information, a clearer overview and a solid basis for the systematic assessment of hazards and risks.
Getting started with RiskPlus Core
With these initial features, RiskPlus Core lays the foundation for a digital and structured approach to risk management. The focus is therefore not merely on documenting individual pieces of information. Rather, it creates a shared digital working framework that helps water suppliers to take a holistic view of their supply system and assess risks where they arise and where they are relevant to the water’s subsequent journey.
The launch of RiskPlus Core marks the first step in this process. These initial functional areas form the basis for the next stages of development and further features, which will gradually complement and support digital risk management.
