Catchment areas in RiskPlus: The basis for reliable risk analyses

Catchment areas are the basis of any well-founded risk analysis in the water supply sector. With RiskPlus, water supply companies can easily and conveniently record their catchment and water protection areas and thus create a reliable basis for all further assessments. With its integrated GIS, the software helps to visualise spatial relationships in a comprehensible way and, based on this, to systematically assess risks. Catchment areas are created directly in the application and linked to the associated water protection areas. In this way, a consistent picture of the supply area is created step by step - without time-consuming preparatory work or external tools.

Simple recording, flexible customisation

RiskPlus offers various practical methods for creating a catchment area. Existing water protection areas can be used directly or your own geodata can be integrated. The spatial delimitation can be checked at any time and adjusted if necessary so that it corresponds to the actual conditions on site. This ensures safety and traceability.

Clear structure instead of detailed work

RiskPlus helps users to record relevant information in a structured manner. Protection zones are clearly displayed. A lot of information is already prepared and can be easily checked or added to. Regional particularities can still be taken into account without unnecessarily complicating the work process.

Many technical principles are already stored in RiskPlus. This reduces manual effort and helps you to concentrate on the essentials: a realistic assessment of risks and the need for action.

Step by step, all areas are provided with the relevant information.

Solid base

With the structured recording of catchment areas, RiskPlus creates a reliable basis for all further steps in risk management. Water suppliers gain a clear spatial understanding of their supply area and can use this to assess hazards, set priorities and derive suitable protective measures.

In this way, RiskPlus helps to recognise risks at an early stage and make well-founded decisions for a safe drinking water supply.
