Compliant and efficient
Up to 75 per cent faster implementation of the TrinkwEGV with RiskPlus
Implementing the Drinking Water Catchment Area Ordinance (TrinkwEGV) is a complex task. We know this from practical experience: If everything has to be processed manually using GIS software and spreadsheets, it can take countless hours - this not only requires a lot of time, but above all ties up human resources. And at the end, you may still need a report...
RiskPlus automates central work steps
This is exactly where RiskPlus comes in. The software automates many work steps: The catchment area can be found directly using the stored maps, and the land use map is created automatically in seconds. RiskPlus provides comprehensive, technically sound proposals for hazard events, risk assessments and risk control measures and even enables mass processing using templates that you can create yourself. Initial risks are quickly assessed using the suggestions. This allows work steps that would otherwise have to be completed individually to be carried out quickly and efficiently and also makes digital documentation easier for operators. According to initial estimates from customers, the speed advantage is up to 75 per cent compared to a purely manual approach.
But what are the decisive factors for saving time? How much time is actually saved depends on several framework conditions: The number of catchment areas, the completeness of the data available to date, the required data formats, the necessary level of detail in the assessment and the coordination with the authorities. Feedback from our customers has shown us that in the best case scenario - all data is available in the correct format, a trained RiskPlus user is working with it and all templates exist - processing can be completed within a week.
Templates ensure consistency and save time
The templates, which can be created once and then applied to any number of catchment areas, have proven to be particularly valuable. This allows similar areas to be assessed efficiently and consistently before individual fine adjustments are made.
Further development also in 2026
The feedback from the field is clear: our customers appreciate the fact that RiskPlus makes their work easier. Instead of laboriously carrying out each step by hand, those responsible can concentrate their time on the actual technical assessment. To ensure that future risk management tasks under the Drinking Water Ordinance can be completed just as time-efficiently, RiskPlus will continue to be improved and expanded in 2026: Among other things, we are planning to hold user workshops with users and representatives of the authorities in early 2026. This will allow us to gather extensive empirical values and feedback for further development and incorporate them directly into the development of the software.
Conclusion: RiskPlus not only speeds up the implementation of the TrinkwEGV, but also ensures consistent results and significantly reduces the workload for those responsible. Time-consuming routine work becomes a structured, efficient process with real added value for everyday operations.
